Edgerton Center Outreach Program

Edgerton Outreach – Since 1996, our science and engineering field trips have provided primary and secondary school students with activities that cultivate curiosity and a sense of accomplishment in science and engineering.

Our three-hour classes are available during the school day (which includes a 30-minute break for lunch) and take place in our lab on the MIT campus. (Remote sessions are available, but are limited to electronics lessons.) Start times are determined by visiting teacher and MIT staff agreement. We offer 11 unique activities led by Edgerton instructors and supported by MIT students. The program is available at no cost to public school classes, private school classes, homeschool groups, and community groups.
